About
Punto Cero
I can’t imagine setting out on a road trip without a map—or embarking on a journey around the world without a clear plan. We might eventually arrive, but the road would be far more complicated, full of detours, dead ends, and wasted fuel, time, and energy. We might not even enjoy the ride. An old saying reminds us: “When you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there.”
That’s why having a clear mission, vision, values, and motto for our congregation matters. These are our compass. They give us direction and focus. Every decision and action we take as a church is guided by these biblical convictions.
Think of it like farming. The mission of farming—growing crops and bringing them to market—hasn’t changed for thousands of years. But the vision—how farmers grow—has evolved with tools, irrigation, and greenhouses. Values can also shape farming: some choose organic methods, avoid pesticides, or pay fair wages. Even the farm’s name can become its motto.
In the same way, understanding our mission and vision helps us know our role in a changing world that desperately needs the only true cure for the spirit—Christ.
At Punto Cero USA, our mission is to help every person realize that we are becoming what we already are in Christ. We’re not here to give you something you don’t already have—because God, through the Cross, has already provided everything. What you need has already been given in and through the Cross. Punto Cero is the Cross.
Whether you believe it or not, you are a carrier of Christ. Our goal is to continue the teachings of Jesus and present His perfect plan of salvation to the world. The journey begins when we discover who we are in Him.
Why Punto Cero USA Ministry?
We are not just a religious organization or human institution. We are a living organism—the Body of Christ.
Our foundation is not built on hierarchy or human leadership, but on Christ Himself as the Head (Ephesians 4:11). We depend on the Holy Spirit to reveal Christ through Scripture (John 5:39) and through the unity and gifts within His Body (Ephesians 4:12-13).
Our connection, our meeting point, and our reason for being is the glory of One—Christ (John 17:22). Everything we are comes from God. That’s why we are eternal, spiritual, and alive in Him.
The ministry fulfills the following purposes:
-
Evangelize: Proclaim the Gospel so that people can be saved by the One who created us and gave us life.
-
Present and teach what Christ taught: Faith must be rooted.
-
Fellowship: Be a place of encounter with God and His children.
-
Promote the fellowship and love of Christ: Present, model, and manifest to the Body of Christ the mercy, kindness, and love that we carry in and from Christ.
-
Minister to the spirit: Share the Gospel.
This is a version of “knowing Christ and making Him known,” because every person is a competent minister of the new covenant and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We live to love and share together through His teachings. The statements of the PC USA Ministry are more than inspiration and emotion; they are clear, true, and decisive. Our mission and vision can be understood by a 12-year-old and can be repeated from memory. The church is much more than a building. In the Bible, “church” never refers to a building. It always refers to people—people who follow Christ—and it is expected that the church will multiply spiritually and grow. Growing the Body of Christ and making new disciples for Him (the process of developing faith) is undoubtedly God’s will; therefore, making disciples must become the church’s main task. There is only one church, only one Spirit, and God has called you to one hope of salvation. There is only one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. There is only one God, who is the Father of all, who is over all, works through all, and is in all who acknowledge Him.
Ephesians 4:4-6
4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;
5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism;
6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Each of us is the Church. God has made each of us His temple. The Holy Spirit dwells in each of us so that we may reflect His power. “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16).
Our life is based on worshiping Him. The exaltation of God, the edification of the saints, and the evangelization of the world is our primary mission.
“We are the Church” means that you learn about Jesus, love Him, and follow Him. You love others as God in Jesus has loved you. You live your life in such a way that others experience God’s love in you and through you.
